About

Hi! I’m Ella, a student in Chicago with a deep passion for psychology and neuroscience.

What got me started

My journey into this started with a research paper on neuroplasticity and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). As I went through the literature, I found a huge gap: much of the research into how chronic stress and environment literally wire our brains is locked up in academic journals and completely inaccessible to the young people going through it. I wanted to turn the science into games and real data that young people could play with, experiment with, and apply to their own lives.

How this site was made

I wrote and curated all the words and ideas on this site myself. Building this project was a hands-on way for me to learn. I wrote much of the code on my own and used AI as a partner to help me solve problems, improve my work, and grow my programming skills.
